T h e  c a s t l e  p a n t r y. The feast prepared in the former refectory room. Arch vaults, heavy benches and tables made of solid wood and dark light create a special and unique atmosphere. Among bunches of fragrant flowers and herbs, under strings of onions and garlic there are old Polish meals directly from the castle pantry. In the light of the candles in earthenware plates and jars, on the boards and in wicker baskets you can find: pork hind, a kind of sour soup (żur) or horseradish soup, rural sausages, dish of hashed sausage, pork and beef stewed in sauerkraut, headcheese, black pudding, lard, cheeses, salads, vegetables, fruits and rural breads.

 

 

T h e  m e d i e v a l  f a i r. Knights lead the participants to the park near the castle, where a medieval fair is organised and where they can see musicians, jugglers and wandering artists. In the centre there is a knights' tent with banners and fair stalls, which are tables with food at the same time. Guests can enjoy: the stall full of meat and sausages, the stall full of vegetables, fruits and salads, the stall with fish, the stall with cheeses and delicacies, the stall with bread and the stall with beverages. You can buy some souvenir there, find out what your future will look like and try you're your hand at shooting a bow. We offer also a knights' tournament in the foot of the castle. When it's getting dark, there will be torches and lamps lit on the city walls. There will be also bonfires - grills, where you can eat some hot meals. The night sky will be lit with fireworks. During the medieval show the service will take care that there is enough food and beverages for everybody.

 

 

T h e  F r e n c h  e v e n i n g. Distinguished atmosphere, elegant decorations, professional service and refined cuisine is our proposition for the French evening. A perfect addition to the ceremonial dinner will be a concert of "Mussete Quartet", which has been present on the musical market for eight years. The members of the band are four famous musicians from Poznań. They play generally the French music of musette style, but reach for jazz and Latin America music as well. You can listen to mazurkas, samba, mamba and bosanova and from the moment the band started to work with the singer Halina Zimmermann, there are songs of Edith Piaf, Adrianne, Patrycia Caas and others. They fit in different kind of parties - from banquets and private meetings, through outdoor parties to varnishing-days.

 

 

G y p s y  c a m p  was wandering from village to village. Painted carts were going to places, where people wanted to listen to Gypsy ballads, dance and sing. The legend says that where the camp went, a forest clearing changed in a scene, on which boys were suing for beautiful Gypsy girls, dancing and singing. We offer you the journey to the past with "T e r n o" band and try a little of the unique atmosphere of the Gypsy feast.

The band, founded in 1953 by Edward Dębicki - a composer, a poet and a great lover and propagator of Gypsy culture, gives concerts in many European countries and in the United States. Every show is the unique artistic event. Wonderful, colored costumes, hot rhythms, typical Gypsy compositions and arrangements create a special show. Diversified repertoire, which includes songs and dances of Gypsies from different parts of the world allows you to listen to the dynamical and cheerful music with a clear rhythm as well as sad and romantic. "Terno" presents the original Gypsy folklore with perfect choreography in a perfect performance.

 

 

T h e  C e l t i c  n i g h t. Guests are welcomed by a Scottish piper, who announces the beginning of the feast. There are traditional Irish dishes, very rarely present on Polish tables. You will have an opportunity to taste a Scottish leek soup with rye bread, "Haggis" - a Scottish black pudding with stewed potatoes and turnip salad, "Irish stew" - a dense vegetable soup cooked with mutton. There will be a band playing Celtic melodies and songs performed in an unconventional way. The traditional Irish and Scottish melodic, based on the sound of violin, accordion and flute perfectly harmonizes with the rhythmical section based on jazz, rock or blues. The sound of the band includes original Celtic instruments: a bag-pipe and a harp. You will have a unique occasion to learn about the Celtic culture with a glass of Irish beer and whisky.

 

 

T h e  f l a m e n c o  e v e n i n g. You are invited to a party in style of fiesta in Andalusia. You will be taken to the southern climate of hot Spain. For this special evening Zamek Joannitów will change into a living estate of barons from Seville. The main attraction will be a splendid and full of colours show of "Acid Flamenco" band. Witek Łukaszewski, the founder of the band, was chosen the best flamenco guitarist in Poland in years 1995 - 97. The concert of "Acid Flamenco" is 90 minutes of coloured Spanish show with dance, castanets and songs. The show was described as the masterly connection of tradition and modernity. The band has recorded two records, visited many European countries and gave many concerts in Polish television and radio. Besides unforgettable esthetical impressions we will take care of the art of cooking. We will invite you to taste dishes of the traditional Spanish cuisine. Experts of stronger beverages will be able to visit a bar of Andalusia with its exotic drinks.
